It’s been quiet around here

There’s always the chance that no one has really noticed, but I’d like to think that you have.

I took a break months ago.
I needed one.
Trying to do too much.
Too little sleep.
Overwhelmed & stressed out.

I just couldn’t keep up the pace I was trying to maintain.

So I had to let a few things go and blogging was one of them. I didn’t intend to not write at all, but somehow, that’s sort of what happened. I haven’t even been reading blogs!! Which, I’m telling you is just plain crazy!!

But I’ve been busy. This has not been an overly relaxing hiatus. No, I just can’t seem to get that one figured out. Instead, Mr. & I have been working our tails off to finish up all our projects on the house & get it on the market. I painted trim for 3 weekends straight. Seriously. Woke up, painted until dark, went to bed.

Fun.

But, we got it all wrapped up & the “For Sale” sign in the yard. Now the trick is keeping it clean while two little tornadoes insist on leaving a mess in their wake whenever they asleep or in school.

Which brings up a good point: We’re not even home that many hours in a day. How do they manage to make such a huge mess in that time??

Anyway, for well over a month now I’ve been planning the things I would write in my head. Thinking about how much I’ve missed in my day-to-day because I don’t feel compelled to carry my camera around with me every where I go. How I’ve become ridiculously out-of-touch with the woman I’ve come to consider my friends though in many cases, we’ve never actually met.

But, it’s been so long, that I’ve felt sort of like I’ve forgotten how to blog. Like I needed to re-introduce myself or something.

So consider this my way to break the ice, even if it was only needed in my mind.
I do have a few things to show you from my time away, and quite a few projects planned for my summer.

Not to mention, though it could still be awhile before it happens, but you realize what selling our house means, right?
A new house to start afresh on!!!! I’m particularly excited about that one.
